We operate the digital platform at yugmai.in and provide AI data collection, speech and audio annotation, transcription, data quality review, and related AI training data services to machine learning teams globally.

Our platform connects a global network of freelancers, contributors, and vendor teams with enterprise clients who require structured, human-generated datasets for training and testing artificial intelligence systems.

1.2 Scope and Applicability

This Privacy Policy applies to all individuals and entities who interact with YUGM AI in any capacity, including but not limited to:

  • Individual Contributors / Freelancers: Persons who register on the platform to participate in data collection, annotation, transcription, or quality review projects.
  • Vendors and Delivery Teams: Companies or group coordinators who manage contributors and submit work on behalf of a team.
  • Clients: Enterprises, research institutions, or individuals who commission AI training data services from YUGM AI.
  • Website Visitors: Any person who accesses yugmai.in without registering.
  • Staff and Administrators: YUGM AI employees and internal team members who access the platform.

1.3 Legal Framework

YUGM AI operates in compliance with the following applicable laws and regulations:

  • Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) — India
  • Information Technology Act, 2000 and IT (Amendment) Act, 2008 — India
  • General Data Protection Regulation, 2016/679 (GDPR) — European Union (for EU-based users and clients)
  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) — where applicable for California-based users
  • Income Tax Act, 1961 and GST regulations — for financial and payment data

SECTION 2: DATA COLLECTION

2.1 Categories of Data Collected

YUGM AI collects personal data in three primary ways: data you provide directly, data collected automatically through platform use, and data received from third parties.

2.1.1 Data Provided by You Directly
Identity Information, Contact Information, Government Identification, Financial and Payment Information, Qualifications and Skills, Work Output, Business Information, Communications, and Account Credentials.

2.1.2 Data Collected Automatically
Technical Data (IP address, browser), Usage Data, Login Logs, Platform Activity, and Cookie Data.

SECTION 3: PURPOSE AND LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING

YUGM AI processes personal data for Platform Operations, Project Delivery, AI Data Services, Payments, Financial Compliance, Legal/Security Obligations, and Platform Improvement.

SECTION 4: CONTRIBUTOR-SPECIFIC PROVISIONS

We collect onboarding data (KYC, tests, bank details), performance data, and project deliverables (voice recordings, audio files, annotations). Contributors providing voice data must give explicit written consent prior to submission. Work output becomes part of a deliverable dataset provided to the client.

SECTION 5: VENDOR-SPECIFIC PROVISIONS

Vendors must ensure each contributor has consented to data collection. Vendors must secure contributor data and report breaches within 48 hours. Sub-contracting without approval is restricted.

SECTION 6: CLIENT-SPECIFIC PROVISIONS

Clients are Data Controllers when processing their end-user data. Execution of a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is mandatory for EU-based clients. All client project information is strictly confidential.

SECTION 7: DATA SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

YUGM AI does not sell, rent, or trade personal data. Data is shared with clients (as deliverables), service providers (cloud, payments, KYC), and for legal/regulatory disclosure.

SECTION 8: DATA SECURITY

We use TLS 1.2+ encryption, secure password hashing, and role-based access control. In case of a breach, we will notify affected individuals within 72 hours (or as required by DPDP Act).

SECTION 16: SOCIAL MEDIA AND NON-DISPARAGEMENT POLICY

Clients and users must not disclose confidential project details on social media without written consent. By engaging with YUGM AI, you agree not to make defamatory or disparaging statements while we are actively responding to communications or processing payments.
